Lady Bugs and Update

I am sorry ladies, I haven't been able to post or do nails in almost 3 weeks I think. Life has happened :)
But I am not done, once I get past the smell (lol), I will do nails. But in the meantime... my list of to do nails is growing.

All the challenges I was in and want to do, I will have to postpone :(

But it won't stop me for looking at beautiful nail art.

Sweet as Apple Pie

This manicure is for My Favorite Things Challenge. We are on Day 4, Favorite Food.

Me and apple pie go way back, lol. I can't tell you why b/c it is only between the two of us. 

As for as my base I used Sinful Color's Cross My Heart, and stamped the checker with Konad's white special polish. The nude base and the pie color is Essense Nude It, and the dark brown color is Sinful Colors Nirvana. The pie topping is acrylic.

These were free hand, with acrylic. I still need more practice. My base was Jessica's Demure.

Favorite Things Challenge: Favorite Animal

I don't have a favorite animal, so I did my husband's favorite animal, the elephant.

So sorry for the blurry pic, still learning my camera (at least that is what I want to believe). 

I used Barielles, U-Concrete-Me, and Milani's A Rose My Lady for the pink. 

All lacquer, I think I am on a roll working with polish to do nail art :)

Ms. Pacman, Pastel Version

This is my entry for the Geeky Nails Challenge for games and gaming and one of the three challenges I am involved with. 

I was really struggling coming up with a geeky game. I just chose Ms. Pacman, but I wanted to add my own spin to it by making it pastel. 

I used China Glaze Elephant Walk as the base, and the rest of the polish is actually done with polish instead of acrylic paint.

Princess Tiana

I just love doing this mani. I decided to do Disney's Princess Tiana from Princess and the Frog. I am submitting it for a contest, why not.

Favorite Things Challenge: Day 1, Favorite Color

I am starting a new challenge, My Favorite Things Challenge, by Ooh La La Polish.

I am really enjoying challenges. Since today is day 1, my favorite color is purple/violet. It has been since I was a child, although, it did change once, but I had to come back to purple.

I also have a 1st grader, and when she is coloring things of purple, grapes are always included.

I am screaming...for some Ice Cream

I am experimenting to find the best white nail polish. I used Orly's Dayglow. IT was difficult to work with, so I am still searching. So far I like China Glaze Snow. What are your favorite white nail polishes?

Black and White Flowers

When I was thinking about the contest I just entered, I was going to submit these, but I changed my mind. I have no clue what these flowers are called. I am not a flower person. My husband gets me flowers sometimes, but all they do is die and that makes me sad. My base color is Barielle's Sterling Silver.

Traveling Polka-dots, China Glaze Peachy Keen

I used China Glaze, Peachy Keen. Very pretty color. The dots were made with the

dotting tool in two different colors, China Glaze Snow and China Glaze Refreshmint.

Roses are pink, too

This pink is from Sinful Colors called Starfish. It is a limited edition, and I think it came out in two collections, so far. I added roses to my accent nail. I think my favorite placement of an accent nail is my pointer finger. What's your favorite finger for your accent nail?
