Holo Gradient

Hello Beauties, I am still trying to find the perfect french to hide my yellow stained nails. What may seem okay to me in real life, appears not okay to me on photo. :(

But I won't give up.

I had to put acrylic on my index finger while I was in Hawaii, so that is why you see a ridge, I didn't want to get it filled in so I just grew it out.

This is an old photo so it is gone now.

How to take Glitter Off, The Easy Way

I really love glitter on my fingernails but I was really hesitant to wear pretty glitter polishes, sandwiches, and the works. Why? It is such a pain to take off. Plus, I change my polish almost everyday. (When I don't - I feel like my hands have been wearing the same clothes for 3 days straight).

I even tried the cotton ball pieces drenched in acetone and covered with aluminum foil (called the foil method). I feel like it was too much work. It has to be a better way...

Well, there is!

I haven't seen anyone else use these, but I am so excited. I found these at Wal-mart for less than 2 dollars, but I am sure you can get them at any drugstore. Walmart fingercots (currently unavailable online). You can use them over and over. I can do other things while waiting and even use them on my toes. Let me know if they work for you :) Happy Day!

Animal and Beaker

One of the good things about having girls is that my oldest daughter loves me doing her nails and I don't mind at all. I think I will start a series on here just for her nails. What do you think?

Sunny Gradient

I used the Zoya Surf and Beach colors for this one, Myrta and Arizona. Arizona took more than 3 coats for opacity! I should've used white as a base, but my camera picks up everything, when I think the white base is covered, my camera says otherwise. I probably just have to get better at covering it up.

I stamped used WnW's I red a book. This was my second go at a gradient mani. It is getting easier. I used a makeup sponge and painted both colors and dabbed, and dabbed some more.

Bright Leopard Nail

Okidoki, I did a leopard nail with this bright color, Aloha Heat. I love that name. I don't really like the leopard, but it is my first. Hopefully, I will get better at it. I saw one on pinterest, that I am dying to do.

Aloha Heat

Island Girl's, Aloha Heat is something serious. It is a super bright neon mint color. I bought this from our trip in Hawaii. It was too cool to put something else on it right now, but I will think of something to do with it soon. But for now, enjoy the brightness.

French and Bare Nails

Okay, this is a little hard for me to show you but here goes...

My bare nails with nothing on them. They are stained pretty bad. I always used a basecoat, but that does not prevent my nails from staining. I recently switched to OPI Nail Envy Sensitive and Peeling basecoat, before that I used Seche Vite Rebuild, and before that I used Orly Nail Defense (originally mine was clear, but now it is yellow orange - weird).

What I am happy about is that I can use 2% Milk by Wet and Wild Megalast, which is a sheer nail color, and you can barely see the staining after I add the french white tip. This makes me happy b/c know I know I can do designs at least starting from a french tip.

I wore my nails like this to renew our marriage vows on our ten year anniversary.

Are your nails stained bad? And have you tried to cover them with a french manicure? Which polish worked best? Let me know please, the search is not over.

Roses are pink, too

This pink is from Sinful Colors called Starfish. It is a limited edition, and I think it came out in two collections, so far. I added roses to my accent nail. I think my favorite placement of an accent nail is my pointer finger. What's your favorite finger for your accent nail?

Summer Fun Challenge, Day 7: Summer Stylin

I used 4 main colors, Orly's Old School Orange,  Wet n Wild's Saved by the Blue and Silvivor, Julep's Nessa (yellow). The flowers are from acrylic paint.

This shirt reminds me of Hawaii, and it is the brightest thing I have for summer. I love the color combo.

Don't forget to follow for more nail love.

Half Moon

OPI Skull and Bones (gray) and Sinful Colors Neptune (teal), I used a dotting tool and Essie's Camera to make the dots on the ring fingernail. I used the hole enforcers for paper to make the half moon. Not bad for my first time...

Purple Leopard

I used Skull and Bones by OPI as a base and stamped with a fauxnad using Essie's Smokin Hot, a deep purple. I still need to work on my stamping skills (or lack thereof), can you tell?

Fishtail Braid

Barielle Blossom, Maybelline Colorshow Bold Gold, and China Glaze Snow.

This was a little confusing for me to do.

You can't see it, b/c I won't show you :)  but my thumb is jacked up.

For some reason I couldn't get the pattern down right.

It was completely confusing and I gave up.

I tried copying my ring nail....It just didn't work.

I really like this color combo, it is so summery (made up word). I just wish my thumb nail was like my ring nail.
Anyhoo, would you do all your nails like this?

Don't forget to follow :)

Summer Fun Challenge: Day 6, The Big Blue

Sorry for the late posting, I just got back from Hawaii. I thought I scheduled my other postings, but I must have done something wrong. Ooops. Here is my mani for this challenge. I didn't get to see all the creatures I painted, only the sea turtles. Hope you like it...

Glitterati Gradient Gone Bad

I tried to do a reverse glitter gradient.

For my base, I used Julep's Taylor, a bright, almost neon blue. And for the glitter, I used China Glaze's Fairy Dust.

I say it has gone bad b/c some of the glitter just got blobbed on, so I have some thick spots. You can't tell from the photos. Anyhoo, It is coming off and I have to try again some other time, oh well, off to the next mani.
