We are having Vacation Bible School at my church this week. So I only thought this would be appropriate. Everything was hand drawn. I used an unknown and mysterious Color Club nail polish for the sky blue, and Essie's Coat Azure for the darker blue. China Glaze Snow for the white clouds, and acrylic paint for the plane on the thumbs. This was very fun to do.

Summer Fun Challenge, Day 4: Hot! Hot! Hot!
I figure since I live in the high desert, Chili peppers along with the blazing sun will surely make you feel like you are melting. I made sure I had two suns, since the nearest city is Tucson.
I used Zoya's Creamy for the yellow background, and Essie's Bikini So Teeny for the blue background. The rest are acrylic paint and drawn freehand. Can't wait to see the others. **Edited to say, Inspired by Robin Moses*** She is awesome!

China Glaze, Ruby Red
This is one is absolutely my favorite red to wear. China Glaze's Ruby Red is such a popular color, I don't think I have to explain. What do you think? Do you like as much as I do or is there another famous red you automatically think of?

Summer Fun Challenge, Day 3: Pool Party
Here is my entry for Day 3: Pool Party....
Beach Balls, I kind of messed up on my index, it got blurry. My favorite one is my middle finger. I added some of Essie's Shine of the Times for the pool on the ring finger. The blue is Barielle's Swizzle Stix from the Hue 2 collection.

Fiercely Fiona
Fiercely Fiona by OPI Shrek Collection is a yellow green creme. This was two coats and easy to apply. Great summer color - makes me happy.

Zoya Happi
I tried to use a white base so you can see it on the bottom of the ring finger.
I used gold stripping tape for the index finger. It didn't stay on long b/c I can never get the tape to stick really well. Maybe it is the topcoat I use.
Do you like stripping tape?

Color Club Metamorphosis
I like this color, absolutely pretty. I reminds me of a mermaid's tail. It is called Metamorphosis by Color Club, so maybe it is suppose to mimic a butterfly. I consider it a foil and it glided on in 2 applications. It is from the Color Club Take Wing Collection.

My First Award
Wow, I do feel appreciated.
I am new to this, but I am assuming from her blog post that I need to pass it on to 10 bloggers.
Here are my picks....
This award shows my appreciation to you
In no particular order:
Lady J at My Perfect Polish
Lindsey at Neverland Nail Blog
Violet at Girl's Night In
Kelly at Ooh la la polish
I enjoy looking at your blogs!!!
The other ones I want to give too already has it :)
How does that work? Do I still send them one?
I think you can put the award on you side bar.
Polka Dot, Polka Dot
Essie's Sand Tropez and Sinful Colors' Olympia
I used a dotting tool for the dots and alternated the colors on the thumb and ring finger.
It all kind of blends together somehow.
I like the green, it reminds me of Essie's Navigate Her, I don't have it,
but I don't think I will buy it either.
(I also have been using Sand Tropez like it is going out of style)

Pastel Marbles
Kinetic Candy |
L to R: Zoya Megan, Zoya Farrah, CG Kinetic Candy, WnW French White |
This is my second attempt and I am happy with the results.
I had to cut my nails down because when I cut my cuticles I developed deep horizontal ridges. When I don't mess with them, their normal. I still need to cut more but I want to wait until it grows a lil' more. You can really see the ridges in Bold Gold.
So I will not be cutting them. However, I did gently push them back. I don't know if that will affect them, but I guess I will eventually find out.
I did this with the water marbling technique. What do you think? Do you like the colors?

Let's Eat Sushi
Let's Eat Sushi by Spoiled is another bright orange (just can't get enough). I no longer will use Seche Vite and it makes me sad b/c it works so well. That will be another topic in the near future. I used Sally Hansen's Insta-Dry. I don't know if I like it yet. I will be testing other quick dry topcoats. Do you have any recommendations?
This color stains your nails really, really bad. And I wear a basecoat.

Should be called...Cinderella's Glass Slippers
This color seems to be very popular these days. I think I used half the bottle of this joker, lol. For real it took me 5 coats for just the color, and I had a base coat and top coat.
Next time, I will have to use a white base color.
This is Cinderella from Sinful Colors. This might be a good jelly polish to make a sandwich. How many coats did it take you?

Julep June Mystery
Left to Right: Taylor, Kelly, Sofia, Fast Dry Topcoat, and Lip Balm |
This is my first Julep Mystery. I forgot to add the nail file to the picture. I paid $19.99. I was curious and I want to see what others got before I decide if I should participate again in the future.
What did you get?
btw, I like it when companies name their polish after names. I even looked up my name and this is what I got....

A Rose My Lady
Milani's A Rose My Lady is a nice muted pale pink. I found it at CVS, part of a display. It took me three coats.
I used Maybelline Colorshow in Bold Gold to stamp the image from Bundle Monster Plate - 11

Pink Jelly
My attempt at a jelly manicure. I used Wet n Wild's How I Met Your Magenta and NYC Starry Silver Glitter, I just kept layering each one. It ended up being a thick manicure. What is your favorite Jelly Combo?
